What Happens to My Readers

I did not expect this.

When the first beta readers came back to me after reading Mr. Hyde and Me, they did not talk about my story. They talked about their own story.

Not dramatically. Not with confession or crisis. But quietly — a recognition that something in the pages of my memoir had caused them to look at themselves. To ask questions they may not have asked of themselves before.

How did I do that? How did I become that guy? What have I been carrying that I have never looked at directly?

It ended up that I wrote my memoir to understand myself. I did not write it to trigger that process in others. But apparently that is what happens.

If you have ever wondered why you did something that did not feel like you — my memoir was written for you. Even though it was written about me.

Mr. Hyde and Me publishes July 1, 2026.

This is part of a countdown series leading to the July, 2026 launch of Mr. Hyde and Me: How I Live as Two Different Men.
