Acceptance

This isn’t a difficult living condition.

It’s not a problem to solve.

Not a condition to heal.

 

A dual personality is all I know.

Now that I’m aware of it, it’s easy to accept.

 

The Hyde in me is not a dark encounter that I keep hidden.

It never has been.

 

After all, he kept me safe and carried me through my toughest times.

 

I’m not looking to expel him or force myself to live without him.

I want to learn to recognize him so I can keep a watchful eye on him.
