Recognition

At this time in my life the natural progression would be one of recognition.

It barely shows for me.

 

When my wife points it out, it shines bright.

Finding that separation on my own is difficult to see.

 

For a little bit at moments, I might catch a miss statement mid-sentence.

But I don’t feel the gap between Mr. Hyde and Me.

 

I have lived this way for too many years.

Duality is not something that appears to heal over time.

 

It isn’t a condition that comes together just because I’m aware it exists.
